Tek Made Easy was founded by P.J. Colbeck in 2007 on the heels of the
release of his book
Information Technology Roadmap for Professional Service Firms. This
book sought to bridge the widening knowledge gap between information
technology (IT) specialists and non-technical users that could benefit
from their technology. Technology solution providers find it difficult
to sell to smaller organizations because they typically do not have IT
specialists that are able to translate between the needs of their users
and themselves. Small organizations find it difficult to sift through
all of the technical jargon and understand the intrinsic value of a
given IT solution for them. In addition, these organizations were wary
of the prolonged deployment timelines and high costs associated with all
but the simplest solutions. Tek Made Easy was formed to extend the
principles found in the book and provide easy-to-deploy IT solutions for
organizations looking to improve the effectiveness of their operations.
In order to address the needs of these organizations in a cost-effective
manner, Tek Made Easy operates as a Value Added Reseller of information
technology solutions. In many ways, a Value Added Reseller operates in
many respects like a traditional retail store. We identify
best-in-class vendors to provide our core products and services. We
then package their products and services in a way that makes the
purchase experience and subsequent usage of these items as simple as
possible. In addition to being as simple as possible, we also go to
great lengths to ensure that we can provide you with these items at or
below the costs that you would pay by purchasing directly from our
vendors. In many cases, we have added special features that address the
information half of the information technology domain that are available
